Ezekiel Sees the Living Creatures and Wheels
Ezekiel kneels by a river with a raised hand while winged creatures with four faces and wheels full of eyes fill a fiery cloud above him. A crystal expanse, a throne of light and a rainbow are at the top.
Prompt
Ezekiel 1: by the river Chebar the prophet Ezekiel sees the living creatures, the wheels and the throne of the glory of the LORD. Ezekiel, a priest in a plain linen robe, kneels large in the foreground on the riverbank, face lifted in awe, one arm raised against the brightness. Above him out of a whirlwind and great cloud from the north come four winged living creatures of burnished bronze, each with four faces (man, lion, ox and eagle) and four wings, beside towering gleaming wheels of beryl set as a wheel within a wheel, their rims full of eyes; over them a crystal firmament, and above it a throne like sapphire stone wrapped in amber fire, with no human figure on it, only a blinding blaze of light encircled by a rainbow. The river and its reed bank are calm and simple below. Style: a blend of photo-realism and cinema, like a still from a big-budget film. Bright, rich, saturated, luminous colour, clear daylight or glowing golden light even in dramatic scenes, never murky or muddy, crisp detail, real human faces full of emotion, shallow depth of field, subtle film grain. Simple, uncluttered composition: ONE clear scene from this chapter, with the chapter's main character or characters large, close and central in the upper and middle frame, and a simple background. No montage, no collage, no inset vignettes, no crowd of small figures competing for attention. Historically accurate ancient Near Eastern clothing, architecture and landscape. Keep the bottom quarter of the frame simple and uncluttered (ground, water or sky) so a large chapter number can be set over it. Absolutely no text, no letters, no words, no numbers, no logos, no watermark, no border, no frame.
