For developers and AI agents

Bible World API & MCP

Search Bible World's images every way the site can, use the character library to keep people looking the same, and create new images from your own apps and AI agents.

It is the same API as the Advent AI library: one key opens both, and agents connect to one MCP server.

What you can do

  • Search images

By words, by Bible passage verse by verse, by theme, by the characters pictured, or by creator, and browse what is popular, trending or new.

  • Use the character library

Find a person, see every variant with its reference images, and use your own character sets.

  • Create images

Make new images with the same models and styles as the create page, put exact characters in them, build on any image, and follow each one until it is finished.

Your API keys

Sign in to create a key. Keys are free; creating images is a Premium feature that needs a paid plan (Premium or Pro) and uses your image credits.

Set up an AI agent

Copy these instructions into your AI agent. They explain how to connect and how to search, use characters and create images.

MCP server

Agents that support the Model Context Protocol connect directly. Add this server address with your API key as a Bearer token:

https://beta.bibleworld.ai/mcp

In Claude Code, run:

claude mcp add --transport http advent-ai-library https://beta.bibleworld.ai/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"

Credits

Searching and the character library are free. Creating an image through the API is a Premium feature: the account the key belongs to needs a paid plan (Premium or Pro). Any other key is refused with premium_required and a link to the plans. Each image spends your image credits, exactly as on the create page; the options call lists what each model and size costs.

GET /credits (or the get_credits tool) returns your balance and buyCreditsUrl, the page where you or your agent's user can buy more:

https://beta.bibleworld.ai/credits
Buy credits

Limits are per key: bursts of 120 reads and 30 searches, 25,000 requests a day, and 8 at a time. At most 15 of your images are made at once. Over a limit the answer is 429; wait the Retry-After seconds or for an image to finish.

Use of the API is governed by theAPI Terms of Use.
