David Stands Steadfast Above Saul's Archers
David stands on a rocky ridge with his hand on his sword and looks up to heaven. A bird flies past, and two small archers aim their bows from the rocks below.
Prompt
Psalm 11: "In the LORD put I my trust: how say you to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain? For, see, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow on the string." David stands large and central on a rocky ridge in the Judean hills, refusing to panic, his hand on his sheathed sword and his face calm and steadfast as he looks up to heaven. A small bird darts past him toward the high mountains behind. Below him among the boulders, two of Saul's archers, small and half hidden, draw their bows toward him. Clear blue sky and crisp bright morning sunlight. Style: a blend of photo-realism and cinema, like a still from a big-budget film. Bright, rich, saturated, luminous colour, clear daylight or glowing golden light even in dramatic scenes, never murky or muddy, crisp detail, real human faces full of emotion, shallow depth of field, subtle film grain. Simple, uncluttered composition: ONE clear scene from this chapter, with the chapter's main character or characters large, close and central in the upper and middle frame, and a simple background. No montage, no collage, no inset vignettes, no crowd of small figures competing for attention. Historically accurate ancient Near Eastern clothing, architecture and landscape. Keep the bottom quarter of the frame simple and uncluttered (ground, water or sky) so a large chapter number can be set over it. Absolutely no text, no letters, no words, no numbers, no logos, no watermark, no border, no frame.
