A Family Drinks from a Mountain Spring
A man, a woman and a girl kneel and drink from cupped hands at a spring that falls into a clear pool. Sunlit mountains rise behind them.
Prompt
Psalm 36: "Your righteousness is like the great mountains... they shall drink of the river of your pleasures. For with you is the fountain of life: in your light shall we see light." A weary Israelite family of travellers, a father, a mother and their little daughter, kneel beside a clear spring gushing out of the rock at the foot of towering mountains, cupping the sparkling water in their hands to drink, their faces refreshed and joyful. The family is large and central. The water tumbles into a crystal pool and runs away as a little river through green grass; above, sunlight pours over the high peaks and shines through the spray in a bright glow. Fresh morning light. Style: a blend of photo-realism and cinema, like a still from a big-budget film. Bright, rich, saturated, luminous colour, clear daylight or glowing golden light even in dramatic scenes, never murky or muddy, crisp detail, real human faces full of emotion, shallow depth of field, subtle film grain. Simple, uncluttered composition: ONE clear scene from this chapter, with the chapter's main character or characters large, close and central in the upper and middle frame, and a simple background. No montage, no collage, no inset vignettes, no crowd of small figures competing for attention. Historically accurate ancient Near Eastern clothing, architecture and landscape. Keep the bottom quarter of the frame simple and uncluttered (ground, water or sky) so a large chapter number can be set over it. Absolutely no text, no letters, no words, no numbers, no logos, no watermark, no border, no frame.
