Joshua the High Priest Given Clean Garments
Two winged angels place a white robe and mitre on a high priest in torn, filthy rags while a man in a brown mantle and head-cloth watches.
Prompt
Zechariah 3: "Take away the filthy garments from him... Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment... So they set a fair mitre upon his head." In a bright heavenly court, Joshua the high priest stands large and central in torn, soot-stained, filthy rags, his face overwhelmed with humble relief, as two angels with enormous, fully spread white feathered wings, clearly visible on both sides, lift a clean shining white linen robe over his shoulders and set a white linen mitre on his head; the angels have short-cropped hair and wear pale sky-blue and gold robes. To the right the prophet Zechariah, wearing a simple wrapped head cloth and brown mantle, watches in wonder. Soft golden light on pale stone, clean and bright. Style: a blend of photo-realism and cinema, like a still from a big-budget film. Bright, rich, saturated, luminous colour, clear daylight or glowing golden light even in dramatic scenes, never murky or muddy, crisp detail, real human faces full of emotion, shallow depth of field, subtle film grain. Simple, uncluttered composition: ONE clear scene from this chapter, with the chapter's main character or characters large, close and central in the upper and middle frame, and a simple background. No montage, no collage, no inset vignettes, no crowd of small figures competing for attention. Historically accurate ancient Near Eastern clothing, architecture and landscape. Keep the bottom quarter of the frame simple and uncluttered (ground, water or sky) so a large chapter number can be set over it. Absolutely no text, no letters, no words, no numbers, no logos, no watermark, no border, no frame.
