Isaiah Praises God as Villagers Draw Water
A bearded man in a brown tunic raises both hands in joy as women and a child draw water from a spring and carry jars. Hills and a walled city lie behind them.
Prompt
Isaiah 12: Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name. At a simple stone well in the open countryside of a Judean village (no temple, no basins), the prophet Isaiah, in his usual coarse brown tunic and leather belt, stands large and central with both hands raised in joyful praise, while two smiling village women and a child in colourful everyday dress draw sparkling water from the well with a rope and clay jars and lift them up, the water splashing and glittering in the light. Green hills and blue sky behind. Joyful, radiant, celebratory mood. Style: a blend of photo-realism and cinema, like a still from a big-budget film. Bright, rich, saturated, luminous colour, clear daylight or glowing golden light even in dramatic scenes, never murky or muddy, crisp detail, real human faces full of emotion, shallow depth of field, subtle film grain. Simple, uncluttered composition: ONE clear scene from this chapter, with the chapter's main character or characters large, close and central in the upper and middle frame, and a simple background. No montage, no collage, no inset vignettes, no crowd of small figures competing for attention. Historically accurate ancient Near Eastern clothing, architecture and landscape. Keep the bottom quarter of the frame simple and uncluttered (ground, water or sky) so a large chapter number can be set over it. Absolutely no text, no letters, no words, no numbers, no logos, no watermark, no border, no frame.
