Prompt

2 Samuel 11: At eventide King David walks on the roof of his palace in Jerusalem and sees Bathsheba. A compelling, cinematic over-the-shoulder view: King David, large in the foreground on the right, in rich royal robes and a gold crown, leans on the low stone parapet of his palace rooftop and turns his head to look intently out across the city toward Bathsheba, his face caught between desire and conscience, warm sunset light on his profile. The viewer looks past his shoulder in the same direction he is looking: across the rooftops, on a lower terrace of a neighbouring house in the middle distance, Bathsheba stands beside a stone basin with a water jar, fully clothed in a long modest dress and veil, her head lowered as she pours water over her hands, small but clearly the focus of his gaze, lit by a soft golden glow. The flat rooftops of Jerusalem glow orange and violet under a dramatic evening sky; a quiet, fateful, foreboding mood; entirely modest. Style: a blend of photo-realism and cinema, like a still from a big-budget film. Bright, rich, saturated, luminous colour, clear daylight or glowing golden light even in dramatic scenes, never murky or muddy, crisp detail, real human faces full of emotion, shallow depth of field, subtle film grain. Simple, uncluttered composition: ONE clear scene from this chapter, with the chapter's main character or characters large, close and central in the upper and middle frame, and a simple background. No montage, no collage, no inset vignettes, no crowd of small figures competing for attention. Historically accurate ancient Near Eastern clothing, architecture and landscape. Keep the bottom quarter of the frame simple and uncluttered (ground, water or sky) so a large chapter number can be set over it. Absolutely no text, no letters, no words, no numbers, no logos, no watermark, no border, no frame.
