Revelation 14: The three angels' messages - 'I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters... And there followed another angel... And the third angel followed them.' Three mighty angels with great white feathered wings fly in a line one after another across the open sky in mid-heaven, all three large and clearly visible, high above the curve of the earth with its blue seas, green lands and mountains far below. The angels are youthful, clean-shaven and short-haired, in shining white robes with golden sashes; the first holds an open, blank parchment scroll of the everlasting gospel and calls out with a loud voice, his hand outstretched toward the earth; the second and third follow close behind with urgent, earnest faces, one raising a long silver trumpet.
