Pilate Questions Jesus in the Judgment Hall

Pilate dressed in a Roman robe with red trim, standing on the right side of the picture and before the judgement seat, asked Jesus who is standing to the left, dressed in a white robe, "Art thou the King of the Jews?  Jesus answered softly "Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?"  Pilate answered roughly, "Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?"
